Bitter goodbyes and gloomy weather - an eventful year drawing to a close!

Moosa turned 3 months on the 16th. His grandparents left the night of the 18th. Just three months and three days old, Moosa is still unable to fully support his head by himself. He has not turned except when placed on a pillow.
As for me I am challenged by life at home alone with a newborn and I am trying to take it slowly and adjust to being a mum of three. The gloom is not helping me overcome the deafening sound of silence all around. Every time they leave or we leave them I am accompanied by the weight of my heart pulling down on me.

I cooked with him watching me silently by the kitchen. I ironed with him on the bed staring at the windows and his little hands. He is finally asleep now after being up for near 4 hours. Should I shower or do more cleaning? I am checking the phone and flight status constantly. We got his birth certificate. Now we have to do his picture and passport. Then his Sri Lankan birth certificate.

We were lucky to have parents with us even if it was for just a few months. It is a true blessing. Now its time to get back to reality and to move on. Time to wipe the tears once again and I know that it is much more painful for the children than it will ever be for us so I have to be extra strong and brave for them. Insha Allah we will be fine and I pray for their health and wellbeing with every beat of my heart! Love you mama and dada forever and for always!
